Quarterlife Pounder, a weekly webshow (premier episode)

The premier of Quarterlife Pounder, a weekly web series getting Nate Dern through the 25th year of his life. Each week Nate, Kellen and Colby discuss a different question. Other stuff happens, too.

bald man, blind man (song)

Performed at Stand-Up NY the night before Thanksgiving, fall 2008. During the last part of the song, pay attention to how red my face gets. After the show it felt like I had popped some sort of bubble in my chest.

Choose Your Own Webcam Adventure!

I stayed up all night after the YouTube annotation feature came out making this video series. There are 33 videos in all. Using the YouTube annotation feature, you can choose what happens next in one of two story lines: Kevin the Yeti Who Loved a Penguin or Agent Whipplesnaith; Future CIA Space Spy. I can't embed it here because the annotation features don't seem to work when embedded, so click the link below to go to the video:

Nate and Greg (Human Giant video contest entry)

My ultrafriend Isaac Ravishankara and I made this video for the Paley Media Center / Human Giant video contest. It was selected as one of the winners.

Another way I love you ("Anybody else but you" parody)

My friend Georgina Hunt was gracious enough to sing this song with me.

Last Chance Dance (song)

A song about that special high school event, the last chance dance. After writing the song I realized that high schools don't actually have a last chance dance. They have a prom. Some colleges have something called a last chance dance. Mine did. Maybe that is where I got the idea from.

Originally performed at the Wolfson Howler at Cambridge University.

The Vagina Monologues were first written and performed by Eve Ensler in 1996. Each monologue is from the voice of a woman who relates to her vagina in a different way. One of the original monologues was never performed because Ensler decided it did not fit with the rest. For the first time ever, you can now see a performance of this lost Vagina Monologue. It is from the voice of a 20 year-old college male. It is titled, "Vaginas are awesome."

This is a celebratory parody.

Originally performed at the Wolfson Howler at Cambridge University.

Super Scrabble

I made this video in my room at Jesus College at Cambridge, University. I shot it by myself using a tripod. Just like Eddie Murphy or Mike Myers, I play all the characters. Unlike them, I don't use a fat suit.

Ballad of the Beard

I made this video while living in the East Village during the summer of 2007 following my college graduation. I shot it by myself using a tripod. Song made using Garage Band, a microphone, and a USB keyboard.

Sven Major

Sven Major is the second comedy short I made. I made it with the help of my hetero life partner Isaac Ravishankara. Outfit borrowed from my sister.

Sven Major Has Super Powers

Snow Fort

This is the first comedic short I made. According to some of the feedback I've gotten, it has all been downhill ever since. Made on location with real snow in Evergreen, Colorado.
